Indy Car and Rolex Series Champions Tees

2011 was a great year for the Chip Ganassi Racing Teams. Target Chip Ganassi Racing won the Indy Car Series, and Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates took the crown in the Rolex Daytona Prototype circuit. Assembly Creative put together several designs for the teams that will serve in their retail collections through 2012.

Red Rocks Wedding

In September, Hilari and Ryan Workman hired Assembly Creative to shoot their wedding. The ceremony was at Red Rocks, followed by a reception at Dazzle in downtown Denver.

We’re finishing up the retail apparel for Target Chip Ganassi Racing this month, and this the latest design. We used a bit of the their mission statement as a text element and left off dates and references to specific drivers so the shirt can stay in the line for as long as it’s popular.

Advertising and biking

This is a very cool idea out of Melbourne. Put adverts on your bike, commute to work, get paid. I do, however, wonder if there is a system in place to make sure the participants actually intall the attachments.

Captain America easter egg.

Folks, if you see the movie Captain America, pay attention when he is in Times Square. If you see the animated billboard for Anheuser-Busch in the background, that animation was created by Assembly Creative’s Eric Bowman. It was an animation we created in collaboration with Switch here in St. Louis.

The animation is at the end of the movie in the background. It’s a blue and white animation with a tagline that reads, “Make your picks”. It was an NFL Draft Pick contest A-B was running for a while. It’s not super easy to read…kind of blurred from the depth of field, but still pretty cool to see it make it in the movie.

2011 Indy 500 / Race and Merchandise

Assembly Creative’s print guru Justin Jones rocked out numerous apparel designs for the Target Chip Ganassi Racing team this year. He’s been making CGR fans look good since 2003. Even though CGR didn’t take the win this year, we had an incredible time at the racetrack. Here’s looking forward to next year.

Just noticed that today is the one year anniversary for the release of LCD Soundsystem’s “last” album, This Is Happening. Then I remembered a great fan created illustration/design from Richard Perez. He created illustrations for his 10 favorite albums of 2010.
